Early 2005 was the start of GroupWise User Group in Nederland soon followed by a separate group Belgium. Within 6 weeks more than 120 members had registered and the first spring 2005 meetings were a big success - an enthusiasm which can easily be explained by the high "value-for-money" of all events and other projects.

 

After several years of continued growth in January 2009 the next step was taken as the name changed to Open Horizons. This allows us to connect to an international community with thousands of individuals and organizations, who are all enthusiastically working with Novell and Novell related partner solutions. Although our mission is to make "more noise around Novell", we certainly dare to be critical as well. Because of this and as we joined forces often Novell asks for our opinion and this way your input and influence suddenly becomes much stronger and more important.

 

 

Open Horizons is a quickly growing community in the whole of Europe, Middle East and Africa and en Open Horizons Benelux plays a leading role. This cooperation of user groups allows us to early create a whole series of events, like the EMEA Tour, the Regional Summits and the EMEA Summit. These events are organized in cooperation with Novell and partners, as theysupport us in many ways. All in all we created a lot of "added value" for our members, partners and for Novell.

 

We hope you appreciate our initiatives and would like to welcome you as one of our new members. Of course you are welcome to first visit one of our events, but we really need your support to create a healthy local group in Belgium as well. Therefore the membership is not only very important for you and your organization, but also for the community as a whole.
